My Background and Expertise.

Yankee Doodle, 1875, by Thomas Nast (1840-1902). This cartoon was published in Harper's Magazine in honor of America's first centennial celebration. I have indexed numerous books on American history and biography, including one about the song "Yankee Doodle."

I have been indexing books since 1990. I am a past director of the American Society of Indexers and served as a member of its webmaster team from 2006-2012. I have used my science background to index books about PCBs, cloning, environmental education, risk, and various medical topics. I have also worked on database indexes on monoclonal antibodies and ophthalmology.

I am interested in American history, politics, ethics, and social/economic policy and have indexed books on Christian and Muslim theology, Buddhist philosophy, and other forms of the spiritual. See a sample of recent projects here.
